Red Onion Avocado Toast

We all know avocados are one of the most popular healthy foods today. These tasty vegetables are known for their abundance of monosaturated fats, fiber, and vitamins. With this red onion avocado toast, you know you are giving your body the healthy nutrition it needs.
I decided to add more nutrition by using the seeded whole wheat bread for more fiber and healthy fats. Plus, the red onion and oregano boost the antioxidant content.
This awesome toast can be used for any meal or snack. These days I find myself having it for breakfast.
Ingredients:
Half of a medium avocado or whole small avocado
1/4 of a medium red onion, sliced thin
Slice of seeded whole wheat bread
Squeeze of lemon juice
Pinch of salt
Pinch of black pepper
1/2 teaspoon of dry oregano
Drizzle of extra virgin olive oil
Red chili flakes (optional)
Directions:

Remove the skin from the avocado. Dice it then smash lightly. In a plate or a small bowl, add the avocado, a squeeze of lemon, pinch of salt, and pepper. Mix well.
Toast the bread you are planning to use. Take your avocado mix and spread it on top of the toasted bread. Add the sliced red onions and the oregano on the top. Then drizzle with olive oil just before eating or serving. Enjoy!
