Fresh Oregano Tea
Since I started growing my own oregano, fresh oregano tea becomes the one to go to for bedtime tea. I love its minty flavor with a little spice at the end. As mentioned in the dry oregano tea, oregano is full of antioxidants and other micronutrients. If you want to increase your antioxidant intake, oregano tea is one way to go. It is caffeine-free.
Ingredients:
Two cups of water
One bundle of eight bunches of oregano or one packed cup of fresh oregano leaves
Directions:
Bring the water to boil.
Rinse the fresh oregano leaves and add to your teapot.
Add the boiling water over the oregano leaves and cover.
Let sit for a few minutes to give the leaves the chance to release their flavor.
The tea should have an orange-green color. The more it steeps the better!
